As New York State’s chief authorized officer, Legal professional Basic Letitia “Tish” James has broad powers to pursue justice on behalf of New Yorkers. Since her election in 2018, she has pursued high-profile lawsuits in opposition to the NRA and the Trump group, launched an investigative report discovering that former Gov. Andrew Cuomo had sexually harassed 11 ladies, and secured a significant settlement in opposition to opioid producers. What’s subsequent for the Legal professional Basic and her workforce?

Be a part of Ruth Messinger, the JCC’s social justice activist in residence, and Matt Nosanchuk, president and co-founder of the New York Jewish Agenda (NYJA), for an IN-PERSON dialog with Legal professional Basic James on her views and imaginative and prescient for the longer term.

This free occasion is happening on Thursday, Could 26 from 7:30-8:30pm. Register here.

Hosted in partnership with the New York Jewish Agenda (NYJA). Cosponsored by Avodah, Base MNHTN, Congregation Rodeph Sholom, JCC Harlem, Jews For Racial & Financial Justice, Lab/Shul, Manny Cantor Heart, Nationwide Council of Jewish Ladies New York, New York Jewish Coalition for Prison Justice Reform, Romemu, SAJ — Judaism That Stands For All, and The Wechsler Heart for Trendy Ageing.
